Jazba e EsarFlood rescue and rehabilitation plan launched after the mighty floods hit Pakistan in July 2010. Under the plan relief consignments of more than 90 million have been distributed in theareas of malakand, layyaiah, gilgit, until now . Alongside relief goods that included food, shelter and clothing for the affected medical camps (professional doctors and paramedical staff) at all districts were set up so as to cater to the medical epidemics caused by the flood. Special deliveries were sent on the Eid that took along meat, sweets, clothes for the affected ensuring them that are no less in any way and are remembered. Volunteers from all across Pakistan came forward for material and physical help....

SOS ventureSOS children village Rawalpindi is a home to many homeless children from various parts of Pakistan. The orphanage is a sit in for the children living there. Sha'oor the society has led many volunteer visits to SOS where volunteers are involved in teaching student, motivating the children to "think big" and "out of the box" through different activities and relating them to life stories. SOS venture benefits the volunteers and children alike- the children get unparalleled share of love and undivided attention whereas the volunteers get to realize the blessings they are bestowed with and find a new motivation to work....

Labours day commemorationLaborers form an integral part of our community. But we fail to acknowledge the little deeds done by them that make our lives easier. Hence each year in the first week of May labors day celebrations are done as part of the annual plan of Sha'oor. In the event the laborers are recognized and honored for the hard work the put up throughout the year. Matches and activities are arranged amongst them which are followed by prizes for all and lunch....

Saba Homes- Honoring the Orphans!Saba Homes is not just a home to underprivileged girls but a lifestyle. The state of the art building along with its professional staff provides an environment next to any home to the girls. The girls are being equipped with all essentials of life from schooling to food, from entertainment to learning, from clothing to accessories they are being provided all. And this is happening by a single family's support since the last 40 years! they believe "Serving not an obligation but a privelge". So Sha'oor parted with them to help them with their cause. A computer lab with state of art computers was donated to them. Moreover, volunteers from Sha'oor visit Saba Homes often to spend time with the blooming flowers. To add to their celebrations 14 august 2011 was celebrated with them where the girls performed to national songs with fervor. Followed was a eid gifts distribution ceremony for the kids and cake cutting. ...

Donating IT Centres to orphan housesThe importance of technology in the development of human civilization is modern era cannot but negated. To meet for the short fall Sha'oor The Society is donating IT centres to orphan houses. As the initial part of the plan Sabahomes, Rawalpindi (orphanage for girls) has been identified where a complete state of the art computer centre consisting of 30 P-4s shall be established. The IT centre will not only equip the students with computer literacy but also special teachers shall be appointed to make children proficient in computer based skills(Photoshop, AutoCADetc.) so that they make seek profession using them ...

Sponsor a child programmeSponsor a child programme (SPC) bears the complete expenditures of 80 students (as per January 2011). The main essence behind the program is to make education available for all by not letting peer and financial pressure hinder the process. The students registered in the program are sorted after different procedures. The aid for the program is generated through our personal efforts of friends and family. More children have been identified and shall be enrolled into the loop as soon as arrangements for complete finances are made....

Idea battle- giving shape to young mindsDreams do come true; you got to have the will! A program designed for less priivilged students enabling them to use their creativity. Sessions at every school, college are carried out by trained professionals who drill in the young minds the sperm to think out of box- ‘OUT AND BEYOND’ and improvise critical thinking. The program enthrals the young minds to leave aside limitationsby helping them brainstorm a plan for the betterment of their respective locality. The best idea is initiated in the community and part of the funds is given by Sha’oor the society. The students and people form the area are made the supervisors of the project. This is done to ensure honesty. Moreover, instilling responsibility on the locals make them realize their competencies and enable them to feel pride in themselves thereby boosting in them the confidence that together they can solve their own problems. ...
